Dan Vans dedicated to transporting first responders to and from medical facilities, or holding performances by the “Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band” in communities and military bases across the country, the Gary Sinise Foundation is doing their part to respect and honor the American heroes who serve our country.

“I’m extremely proud to partner with the Gary Sinise Foundation and I encourage others to support them in their mission of helping our service men and women,” Anderson said. “The good works they do are extraordinary and they should be recognized and celebrated as a result.”

Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab Announce New 2011 Professional Education Partnership

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

EXETER, PA – February 2, 2011 – Pride Mobility Products Corporation and Quantum Rehab are pleased to announce the new 2011 Professional Education Partnership, formerly known as the Pride U and Quantum University Seminar Tour.

The Seminar Tour was renamed to Professional Education Partnership to more fully reflect and encompass all that Pride and Quantum deliver to providers and clinicians. The name also more aptly describes the scope of the educational services offered beyond the annual scheduled, instructional seminars throughout the country. The Professional Education Partnership is available at industry trade shows such as Medtrade Spring and Fall, the International Seating Symposium, and makes frequent on-site training visits to rehab facilities and veterans organizations.

“At Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab, we have always understood that being a true partner to our providers requires that we deliver carefully developed value-added services to help them better meet their patients’ needs while helping their business maintain maximum efficiency. The 2011 Professional Education Partnership is a culmination of that philosophy,” said Dan Fedor, General Manager of Education & Compliance.

The Professional Education Partnership sessions present providers with the opportunity to stay current on product features and functionality and obtain the contact hours (CECs) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) required by many state and national governing bodies. Beginning in 2011, the Professional Education Partnership will become an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider of CEUs.

“This transition strengthens our current continuing education policies and procedures and exemplifies our drive to offer the highest level training available in the industry,” said Fedor. “This change will also expand Pride and Quantum’s capabilities to provide informative CEU courses that increase participant knowledge and implement real-world product applications.”

IACET requires authorized providers to adhere to internationally recognized continuing education and training standards. IACET CEUs are accepted by RESNA for the ATP certification renewal, the American Occupational Therapy Association and individual Physical Therapy state associations. In addition to the accredited courses, Pride also makes available company experts in the fields of technical training, product research, design, testing, electronics, mechanical functionality, and funding in order to enhance providers’ expertise in the mobility products industry.

Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab Host Disability Mentoring Day for Area Students

Monday, October 25, 2010

Exeter, PA – Pride Mobility Products Corporation and Quantum Rehab recently offered 10 students with disabilities an opportunity to be mentored by career professionals in the various fields at Pride and Quantum during the Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) on Wednesday, October 20 at Pride’s Exeter facility. Attendees also included Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 Specialists and Learning Support Teachers, as well as observers from Marywood University’s Career Services Department.

DMD is designed to bring students and job seekers with disabilities into the workplace through hands-on career exploration, on-site job shadowing, and ongoing mentoring leading to internship and employment opportunities. Through Pride and Quantum’s DMD, participants were welcomed with opening remarks from Chairman & CEO Scott Meuser and had the opportunity to meet with professionals to learn the typical job responsibilities and the necessary knowledge and skills needed for a specific vocation. Careers in research and development, marketing, education, reimbursement, government affairs, sales, and technical service were highlighted. The event also included a continental breakfast and lunch.

“As with all young people, it’s important that we foster the fullest potentials of those with disabilities toward higher education and rewarding career paths,” says Mark E. Smith, Pride Consumer Research Manager. “For many young people with disabilities, their potentials truly are limitless, and by increasing their awareness of career possibilities through such events as Disability Mentoring Day, we ideally not only inspire their outlooks, but place them on an ultimate path that will impact the lives of many through great careers.”

Justin Warman, a participant from GAR Junior/Senior High School, was impressed by how many career options there are at Pride. “There are a lot of things I like about Pride, but I think the major thing is the company is so diverse,” Warman said. “You can do so many things in just one company.”

Elaine Coburn, Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 Transition Specialist, said both she and her colleagues were extremely impressed with Pride’s product innovations and professional atmosphere. “The teachers and students were buzzing about the experience on the way home,” said Coburn. “Everyone had a very enjoyable and enlightening day.
